About the role

  • Assistant Director assisting the Director of Event Management at Georgetown University. Planning and executing high-profile Capitol Campus events while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director and Deputy Director of the Office of Event Management & Scheduling with high-profile events
  • Works closely with the Event Coordinators and the Deputy Director
  • Regularly engages with internal constituents, including faculty members and other staff
  • Acts as point of contact for outside organizations, board members, alumni and main campus colleagues

Requirements

  • 5-7 years event planning experience, preferably within an academic or non-profit setting
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Social Tables, EMS and other event-specific software is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
