About the role

  • Vice President managing enterprise nursing workforce and patient placement capacity centers at Advocate Health. Driving strategic vision, operational efficiencies, and quality initiatives with a focus on nursing excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Executes and supports the nursing strategic plan to accomplish organizational goals
  • Provides enterprise strategic vision, development, and ongoing evolution for Advocate Health’s enterprise nursing workforce and patient placement capacity centers
  • Ensures patient care delivery models, clinical, and staffing standards are consistent with current best practice standards
  • Leads nursing quality and safety initiatives to achieve top decile performance level
  • Prepares operational and capital budgets for nursing assigned areas
  • Builds strong, collaborative partnerships between functional areas
  • Provides strategic direction for enterprise macro level transfer center operations
  • Executes large-scale initiatives by partnering with technology, operations, and workforce leaders

Requirements

  • Active registered nurse (RN) license in states of practice
  • Advanced Nurse Executive Certification required
  • Masters in Nursing or related field required
  • Typically requires 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare leadership
  • Three to five years of direct-patient-care nursing experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications including strong presentation/speaking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, critical-thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong operational, financial and business acumen
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others from multi-disciplines and levels of the organization
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
