About the role
- Software Developer responsible for building and maintaining applications for financial data processing at SMBC. Working with a team to support software solutions in the Capital Markets sector.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a variety of software applications, tools, or functions to support our business
- Interact with the larger development team, share design and solutions, and contribute to the overall objectives of the development team
- Maintain and enhance existing in-house applications and services used for financial data processing
- Work on projects dedicated to modernization of legacy system and will require ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Support the trading system, including providing answers to user’s enquiries or resolving batch job issues
- Follow SMBC CM development standards and contribute to the overall agenda of the team
Requirements
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design in C# and modern .NET framework
- Knowledge of any of the following C/C++/C#/Python/JavaScript/React is a big plus
- Familiarity with database and distributed systems concepts is a plus
- Familiarity with multithreading and asynchronous programming is a plus
- Must have the ability to understand and implement complex program designs
- Must be a good team player who can work cooperatively or independently
- Quick learner and problem solver
