About the role
- Tech Lead for Data Solutions designing data products on AWS and GCP. Leading technical design and delivery for scalable data architectures with robust engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end technical design of data solutions across AWS and GCP
- Design scalable architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption
- Select appropriate cloud services and patterns while balancing performance, cost, security, and maintainability
- Review and approve technical designs and solution approaches proposed by the engineering team
- Lead the technical delivery of data products, ensuring they are well‑modeled and consumption‑ready
- Partner with Data Product Owners to translate business requirements into clear technical designs
- Ensure data products support analytics, reporting, and downstream AI/ML use cases
- Perform technical reviews for code, pipelines, and infrastructure changes
- Act as the primary technical mentor for data engineers and senior engineers
- Work closely with platform architects, DevOps, and cloud operations teams to ensure solutions align with platform capabilities
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and engage with stakeholders for technical communication
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data platform roles
- Proven experience architecting and delivering data solutions on AWS and GCP
- Strong hands‑on experience building production‑grade data pipelines and data products
- Deep understanding of data modeling and analytics patterns and batch and streaming architectures
- Cloud‑native design principles
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL) and experience with modern data frameworks
- Ability to make sound architectural decisions under real‑world constraints
