About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute and review accounting entries, ensuring accuracy, integrity of transactions and timely updates to accounting records;
  • Stay up to date on regulatory changes and accounting best practices;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance;
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, issues, or inconsistencies in accounting records;
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, accounting reports and account reconciliations;
  • Support the preparation of reconciliations between statutory and management books;
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards;
  • Collaborate with other teams to provide accounting information and support financial and strategic initiatives;
  • Prepare and review periodic and ad hoc statutory accounting filings (ECD) and tax filings (ECF, EFD-Contribuições, DCTFWeb, EFD-Reinf), including submissions such as Perdcomp;
  • Review direct taxes (IRPJ, CSLL, PIS and COFINS) and indirect taxes (INSS, ISS, withholding taxes), and, when required, perform their calculation, payment and accounting;
  • Assist in the preparation of tax reports and in readiness for internal and external audits;
  • Support responses to audit inquiries and clarifications;
  • Monitor the Company’s cash flow from a strategic perspective to help ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; postgraduate degree in a related field preferred;
  • Advanced English;
  • Proven experience in accounting with exposure to tax (direct and indirect), preferably in a corporate environment;
  • Proven experience with accounting for audited companies, including support for external audits;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel;
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Experience with Oracle and SAP ERP systems is a plus.
