Responsibilities

  • Calculate manual rates by manipulating data
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines
  • Set up folders and files for new quotes and dispatch to the correct region
  • Perform analysis of information to complete the quotes
  • Prepare experience analyses on benefits based on provided experience information
  • Calculate average billed rates
  • Review and understand results to provide summaries to Underwriters
  • Assist Underwriters in the quoting process
  • Initiate process improvements and work on projects for streamlined processes

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Curiosity and inquisitiveness
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of group benefit products is an asset
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel is an asset
  • Knowledge of Group Underwriting and benefit pricing is an asset
  • Bilingualism is an asset for Quebec (fluent in French and English)
