Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for execution and ongoing optimization while creating functional output for business analyses.
Lead and Define data models, schemas, data quality rules and various collection sources in collaboration with engineering teams and development cycles.
Identify opportunities to automate manual or, if required, semi-manual operational workflows.
Create dashboards and reports to highlight relevant data points for internal sales and marketing teams whilst assisting stakeholders in building data driven presentations for both internal and external review.
Build and analyse bespoke data sets alongside the product development team and take part in project related analyses with the business development and strategy functions.
Create procedures for daily maintenance with the view on ongoing development pipelines in conjunction with technology teams.
Act as a bridge between business users and technology teams.
Champion the teams’ goals, educate and empower business teams with relevant and current data trends to create a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline
1–3 years’ experience in a technical business analyst, data analyst, or similar role (or exceptional graduate experience)
Understanding of financial and commodity markets with emphasis on price correlation fundamentals.
Understanding of Derivatives products fundamentals including market data, trade lifecycle, margining, and risk management.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and analytical databases
Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and automation concepts
Ability to read and understand technical documentation, APIs, and system designs
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
