About the role

  • Principal Consultant in Transactions Advisory Solutions for Black & Veatch. Managing significant transactions and leading project teams in engineering and consulting environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical or industry knowledge to contribute to multiple engagement phases
  • Demonstrate capabilities with minimal oversight from more senior level professionals
  • Contribute to medium to large sized projects or own a moderate to significant portion of a larger project
  • Lead medium to large size effort or project team
  • Delegate team work assignments through various phases of engagement
  • Manage projects from prospect, proposal to client deliverables
  • Likely manage multiple projects at any given time
  • Demonstrate experience with providing independent engineering services, M&A advisory, valuation and other related services supporting clients in transactional due diligence
  • Focus on project management and develop sales responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5 years managing significant engagements
  • Master's degree
  • Knowledge and experience with: power generation technologies, utilities, O&G infrastructure, water/wastewater technologies, digital infrastructure, and/or electric power commercial and regulatory practices
  • Advanced technical or industry knowledge
  • Broad knowledge of the marketplace
  • Project management, client management and negotiation skills
  • Intermediate business development capability and 2 years of business development experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
  • Has managed significant engagements
  • 10+ years in a business/consulting environment
