About the role

  • Employee Engagement Consultant responsible for educating clients on collective retirement plans. Creating communication strategies and supporting client engagement initiatives while maximizing participation.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and support clients (your primary responsibility).
  • Develop and implement annual communication and training strategies.
  • Work with plan administrators to promote and encourage plan participation, contribution maximization, inbound transfers, and enrollment in optional plans.
  • Deliver information sessions while effectively managing your time and costs (travel budget).
  • Create and deliver participant presentations and draft written communications for participants, in accordance with Canada Life marketing guidelines and business and professional practices.
  • Actively support the implementation process and develop communication and information strategies for participants.
  • Work closely with Client Relations Directors to ensure appropriate training sessions and communications are provided to clients.
  • Participate in meetings with selected bidders to demonstrate how Canada Life supports participants throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate with the national Learning and Engagement team to create and enhance standard Group Retirement Services session content, coordinate in-person and virtual training sessions, and communicate best practices.

Requirements

  • Bilingualism (proficiency in French and English) required, as the role will regularly serve both francophone and anglophone clients.
  • Experience with group retirement plans, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Customer-service oriented approach; ability to build strong relationships with clients, our broker/advisor community, and consultants or plan administrators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong negotiation abilities are required.
  • Superior presentation skills; proven ability to present investment and retirement-planning topics to pension committees, plan administrators, and groups.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and fluctuating workloads while working independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to think quickly and generate new ideas.
  • Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
