About the role
- Junior Natural Capital Consultant at AtkinsRéalis, supporting delivery of environmental economics projects and developing digital tools. Engaging with clients to influence sustainable decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of natural capital and environmental economics projects
- Help develop and refine digital tools that quantify and illustrate environmental impacts and the value of nature in a clear and visual way
- Work collaboratively and effectively with other AtkinsRéalis’ staff to deliver natural capital outputs which influence decision-making
- Be available to support a wider range of environment and sustainability projects as per clients’ needs
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Environmental Economics or Environmental Science)
- Currently undertaking, or have attained, a relevant post-graduate qualification in a similar subject area, or demonstrate additional experience
- Experience of applying environmental economics techniques in academic or professional contexts
- Proven ability to analyse and interrogate environmental and economic data and communicate findings clearly
- Strong organisational skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to deadlines
- Excellent collaborative working skills
- Attention to detail and desire to work to high standards consistently
- Familiarity with IT and software appropriate to tasks undertaken
- Experience in GIS, Excel, Python, R or other coding languages is beneficial but not essential
- Willingness to work towards Chartership with a relevant body
