About the role
- Director of Electrical Planning at Buro Happold leading teams in Berlin and Hamburg. Managing large-scale projects and building key client relationships in a modern, hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and expand the electrical team in Berlin and Hamburg
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Europe strategy plan in alignment with regional and technical requirements
- Financial responsibility for the respective large-scale projects
- Network with potential investors in the greater Berlin area
- Participate in interviews and actively recruit for other locations in line with the growth strategy in Germany
- Build and maintain key client relationships and maximize opportunities for follow-on contracts
- Strengthen the process-integrated QA procedures
- Provide professional consulting to our clients for cost groups KG440 and KG450
Requirements
- Successfully completed engineering degree, Meister, technician, or comparable qualification
- Many years of experience as a technical and commercial leader with demonstrably exceptional performance
- Several years' professional experience in Germany and ideally an existing network in the Berlin market
- Experience working on German projects
- Good understanding of multidisciplinary planning for large buildings such as opera houses, museums, mixed-use developments, or laboratory buildings
- Extensive experience with HOAI, VOL, VOB and VDI 6026
- Familiarity with building services design software, including BIM Revit
- Fluent German and English
- Willingness to travel (Germany and Europe)
