About the role

  • (Senior) Software Architect at Maurer Electronics leading software architecture and development teams. Focusing on secure digital solutions and innovative technologies in IT security and identity protection.

Responsibilities

  • Take technical leadership in designing and implementing software components and shaping the software architecture
  • Develop technical solution options in direct collaboration with development teams and other software architects, including analysis and evaluation of frameworks and technologies
  • Provide technical leadership for an agile software development team
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools, prepare technical decision documents, and continuously evolve the system architecture
  • Act as a communication interface between development teams, management, stakeholders and other architects
  • Support the preparation of contracts and backlogs as well as security, data protection, support and operations concepts

Requirements

  • Completed degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification, plus relevant professional experience in complex IT projects with a focus on software development
  • Solid experience with architectural patterns and software documentation using arc42
  • Knowledge of the following programming languages, frameworks and tools: Java, Maven, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Helm, GitLab CI, React, Vue.js and Spring Boot
  • Confident knowledge of open-source technologies (e.g., Keycloak, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Git)
  • Subject-matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: web portals, IAM, PKI and IT security
  • Practical experience with notations such as XML, OpenAPI, JSON, YAML, as well as knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., BSI) and processes and methods in software development, especially in an agile context
  • Service- and solution-oriented mindset and strong communication skills when interacting with diverse interfaces
