Responsibilities
Providing expert technical input to feasibility studies, design reviews, or infrastructure assessments or assignments
Supporting project planning, implementation, and monitoring activities
Advising on standards, methodologies, and innovations in rural infrastructure delivery
Conducting field assessments, stakeholder consultations, and capacity development or training workshops
Preparing technical reports, manuals, or policy guidance documents
Ensuring that gender equality, environmental and sustainability concerns, safeguarding, and other cross-cutting considerations are integrated into all activities
Requirements
Advanced degree in civil engineering, transport planning, rural development, or related field
Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in rural transport infrastructure or related sectors
Demonstrated experience working in rural or remote areas and engaging with local community, government, and private sector stakeholders
Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills in English; proficiency in other languages is an asset

Ability to work independently, remotely, collaboratively, and across cultures
