Transmission Manager leading strategy across U.S. power markets supporting nuclear power projects. Requiring expertise in grid interconnection processes and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead Blue Energy’s transmission and interconnection strategy across the U.S.
Help screen development sites to assess costs and interconnection and deliverability feasibility of generation, and potential co-located data center loads
Manage, negotiate, and navigate interconnection queue processes and agreements, including technical, procedural, and commercial aspects and alignment with EPC and project teams
Analyze grid power flows, constraints, and upgrade requirements to inform project siting and development.
Collaborate with internal teams to align transmission insights with project development, permitting, and commercial strategies.
Engage with RTOs, utilities, and regulators to advocate for project needs and ensure timely interconnection outcomes.
Track and interpret transmission policy developments, market rule changes, and interconnection reforms.
Build and manage external relationships with consultants, transmission planners, and engineering firms.
Represent Blue Energy as a thought leader and subject matter expert on transmission with customers and in industry forums, working groups, and stakeholder processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
6-8+ years of professional experience in transmission planning, grid interconnection, or power system operations.
Deep understanding of interconnection processes in PJM, ERCOT, SERC and vertically integrated utilities.
Strong technical skills in grid modelling, power flow studies, and constraint and cost analysis
Proven ability to work across teams and communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience engaging with utilities, data center developers and hyperscalers, RTOs, and regulatory agencies.
