About the role
- Energy Manager responsible for achieving energy savings targets and facilitating energy efficiency projects. Collaborating with teams to manage energy consumption and carbon emissions in building operations.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage an Energy Team to assist in achieving energy objectives
- Provide a database and energy tracking and monitoring system for facilities
- Develop Key Performance Indicators to improve energy performance
- Review existing energy study reports and perform high-level assessments for improvement opportunities
- Review control systems and provide maintenance practices to enhance energy efficiency
- Identify and recommend energy efficiency projects to senior management
- Coordinate implementation of energy efficiency projects including planning and budgeting
- Develop and implement a strategy for measurement & verification of energy efficiency projects
- Implement employee training and awareness programs to promote energy conservation
- Maintain a project registry of energy savings opportunities
Requirements
- College graduate or bachelor
- Register and complete the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) examination by end of the first year, and must register as a Certified Energy Manager in Training (EMIT)
- A minimum of 5 years progressive energy management experience in the institutional &/or commercial as-built environment
- Strong understanding of project management principles and financial oversight
- Skilled in using design and wireframing tools for data visualization
- Proficient with Microsoft tools, including Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Project Schedule
- Experience using Procore PM platform is a bonus
