About the role

  • Energy Manager responsible for achieving energy savings targets and facilitating energy efficiency projects. Collaborating with teams to manage energy consumption and carbon emissions in building operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage an Energy Team to assist in achieving energy objectives
  • Provide a database and energy tracking and monitoring system for facilities
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators to improve energy performance
  • Review existing energy study reports and perform high-level assessments for improvement opportunities
  • Review control systems and provide maintenance practices to enhance energy efficiency
  • Identify and recommend energy efficiency projects to senior management
  • Coordinate implementation of energy efficiency projects including planning and budgeting
  • Develop and implement a strategy for measurement & verification of energy efficiency projects
  • Implement employee training and awareness programs to promote energy conservation
  • Maintain a project registry of energy savings opportunities

Requirements

  • College graduate or bachelor
  • Register and complete the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) examination by end of the first year, and must register as a Certified Energy Manager in Training (EMIT)
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive energy management experience in the institutional &/or commercial as-built environment
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and financial oversight
  • Skilled in using design and wireframing tools for data visualization
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools, including Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Project Schedule
  • Experience using Procore PM platform is a bonus
