• Project Manager at Bitdeer leading Alberta datacenter projects, focusing on construction and government approvals. Overseeing project lifecycle from planning to execution within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, defining scope, developing detailed schedules, and establishing budgets in collaboration with clients, engineers, and leadership.
• Manage the full contractor lifecycle, including selection, contract negotiation, and supervision to ensure work adheres to quality standards and specifications.
• Proactively manage project risks, including budget deviations, schedule delays, and on-site emergencies, ensuring all safety standards and codes are met.
• Serve as the primary point of communication, providing regular project updates and budget reports to internal teams and executive leadership.
• Foster strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams, contractors, and other external partners.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
• Experience leading large scale construction projects, including focus on Government relationships and approvals
• Thorough understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and architectural/engineering drawings
• Familiar with medium and low voltage power supply system and distribution system or experience in electricity infrastructure construction industry
• Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
• Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
• Ability to work beyond the regular work-day schedule, when necessary, to help coordinate activities and share information with the overseas team.
• Detailed oriented, time management, and sense of priorities.
• Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of job site in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
• Ability to be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the job site.
