About the role

  • Director, Clinical Vendor Management optimizing vendor relations and performance for BioNTech's clinical operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance service efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance through KPIs and metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization
  • Drive performance negotiations to enhance execution efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with clinical development teams to assess vendor performance and identify areas of improvement
  • Analyze cost trends, investigate anomalies, and optimize budgets for better financial outcomes
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in vendor management and implement best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life or Health Sciences; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in vendor/alliance management within clinical trial operations
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and clinical data systems (e.g., eTMF, IWRS)
  • A proactive problem-solver with the ability to navigate dynamic environments
