About the role

  • Facilities Services Manager providing operational leadership for Bible League's Crete facility. Ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and readiness of building, grounds, and workplace services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on operational leadership for Bible League International’s Crete, IL facility operations.
  • Ensure the building, grounds, and workplace services are safe, clean, and operational.
  • Execute and support the facilities strategy, policies, and priorities.
  • Lead day-to-day facility services for the Crete, IL office, coordinating work across building, grounds, and common areas.
  • Establish daily and weekly priorities; manage service requests and follow-through.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and service for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors/locks, lighting, and life-safety systems.
  • Document and keep up-to-date facility service procedures.
  • Perform minor repairs and coordinate contractors/vendors for larger work.
  • Coordinate grounds and seasonal readiness, including landscaping and snow/ice response plans.
  • Support custodial readiness for high-touch areas and common spaces.
  • Coordinate workspace and meeting space setups as needed.
  • Maintain facility documentation including service logs and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with purchasing, quotes, and budgets in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Ensure response readiness for facility issues during operational and non-operational hours.

Requirements

  • Must be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Agree with our statement of faith and conduct his/herself in a Christ-like manner.
  • Bachelor's degree in facility maintenance or management preferred.
  • 5 years or more work experience in the building facility maintenance profession required.
  • 5 years or more experience in supervising.
  • Proficiency in technology and building automation systems is required.
  • Must possess a strong business background.
  • Strong planning, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, oral, and written communication skills are required.
  • Must possess tact, maturity, and the ability to lead teams.
  • Capability of making decisions and initiating new strategies.
  • Physical ability to lift items of up to 75lbs and climb ladders.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to manage without direct supervision.
  • Must handle confidential information reliably.
  • Working knowledge of major trade disciplines to manage physical facilities and interact with vendors.
