About the role

  • Senior Business Manager B2B with a focus on purchasing strategies and vendor relationships at BAUHAUS. Analyze market structures and optimize product ranges for commercial customers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic sparring partner for our purchasing organization, bringing strong specialist-trade and B2B expertise
  • Drive the strategic and operational development of our business-customer segment in the BAUHAUS stores
  • Analyze market, competitor and pricing structures in the professional customer environment
  • Identify assortment potential and optimize existing product categories with a focus on commercial customers
  • Build and maintain a reliable network of manufacturers, suppliers and professional buyers
  • Contribute to pricing models, framework agreements and project-related commercial approaches
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Category Management, Sales and the retail stores
  • Act as an initiator for processes and go-to-market concepts in the B2B area

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in specialist retail or a B2B-focused retail environment
  • Solid product and market knowledge in at least one relevant product group (e.g., construction, technical supplies, interior finishing, garden, etc.)
  • Experience in purchasing, category management or sales with commercial customers
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, pricing and margin mechanics
  • Existing network in the professional customer or supplier environment is an advantage
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on implementation skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills across different hierarchical levels
