About the role

  • Database Administrator handling Microsoft SQL-Enterprise infrastructure at BAUHAUS. Responsible for server availability and backup control while supporting departments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for operating and further developing the existing Microsoft SQL Enterprise infrastructure
  • Ensuring the availability of servers and databases in our data centers
  • System monitoring as well as creating and verifying backups
  • Supporting business units and providing advisory assistance
  • Acting as a liaison between business units and their service providers

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or completed vocational training (e.g., IT specialist)
  • Several years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server (Standard/Enterprise)
  • Good to very good knowledge of Windows Server
  • Knowledge of Oracle databases is an advantage
  • Strong service orientation, communication and teamwork skills, and a solution-focused, independent working style
  • Very good German skills (at least C1) and good written and spoken English
