About the role

  • Credit Analyst responsible for assessing financial risks at Betunel. Analyzing credit conditions and market dynamics to ensure sustainable financial decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive economic and financial analyses of clients, including critical review of balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, indebtedness, capital structure, liquidity, profitability and cash-generation capacity;
  • Assess clients' payment capacity and operational execution capability, taking into account payment history, portfolio of contracts/projects, receivables profile (particularly public receivables), risk concentration, collateral and overall credit exposure;
  • Analyze the client's market positioning, sector of activity, level of competitiveness, dependence on public or private contracts, business cycle and sensitivity to economic fluctuations;
  • Monitor the macroeconomic and sectoral environment (interest rates, inflation, credit, infrastructure investment, public budgets, bank funding), evaluating direct impacts on clients' financial capacity and on portfolio risk;
  • Calculate and review credit limits and requirements based on sales schedules, contracted volumes, prices, exposure already granted, existing collateral and risk profile;
  • Propose updates to the Credit Policy considering economic and regulatory changes, market practices, financial costs, collateral enforcement and competitor strategies;
  • Structure, enhance and operationalize credit analysis models, rating criteria, risk segmentation and mitigation instruments;
  • Develop and track risk indicators (aging, concentration, exposure, delinquency, payment behavior);
  • Contribute to automating analyses, ensuring information security and using analytical tools and dashboards to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Production/Industrial Engineering or related fields
  • Knowledge of the dynamics of different funding sources (equity, bank credit, receivables, public contracts)
  • Experience in balance sheet analysis, income statements (P&L), cash flow and financial indicators
  • Knowledge of corporate finance and financial mathematics
  • Knowledge of credit analysis techniques and risk management
  • Market analysis and understanding of macro and microeconomic trends
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Power BI and building analytical dashboards
  • Familiarity with legislation related to credit, collateral and enforcement
  • Experience in credit analysis, preferably in infrastructure, construction, industrial sectors or B2B services
  • Experience in analyzing financial statements, risk assessment, market analysis and client monitoring
  • Experience with competitor analysis, economic environment assessment and sectoral developments
