About the role
- Procurement Excellence Specialist managing procurement processes and support for BERNER. Focusing on supplier evaluation, process optimization, and implementation of digital solutions in procurement.
Responsibilities
- Define, implement and manage support and administrative tasks for the entire function, involving all relevant stakeholders across the group and company
- Analyze and forecast supplier rebates (bonuses), including their settlement
- Serve as the point of contact for the Procurement Academy and related functions/tasks, processes & organization (development of training materials)
- Own supplier evaluation from analysis through implementation
- Contribute to and support the definition, implementation and further development of the process and system landscape (including data management) across the entire procurement organization, supporting all functional procurement departments and diverse stakeholders
- Design and develop guidelines and templates for the department
- Design and implement measures to automate and digitize purchasing processes, particularly through the targeted use of artificial intelligence (AI)
Requirements
- Completed degree in business administration, commercial vocational training, or certified business specialist (Fachwirt)
- Professional experience as a Project Manager / Procurement Excellence Specialist
- Experience in procurement and purchasing is an advantage
- Strong affinity for digitalization and IT applications
- High motivation and strong self-initiative
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Communicative personality with a confident manner
- Very good analytical skills
- Independent and structured working style with assertiveness
- Good written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to travel (< 10%)
