About the role

  • Property & Casualty Insurance Placement Specialist marketing new and renewal accounts through negotiation with underwriters. Brown & Brown seeks a specialist to optimize coverage and pricing for commercial insurance clients.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing policies for each account generating over $5,000 in revenue
  • Data entry of information from the application onto the carrier portal
  • Determine the appropriate insurance markets to be approached for assigned accounts
  • Obtain and analyze quotations and declinations from various insurance companies
  • Negotiate pricing and coverage terms with underwriters and wholesalers
  • Identify coverage discrepancies/differences between carrier options
  • Prepare high quality and accurate proposals for presentations
  • Monitor, identify, and develop new markets and new opportunities
  • Build and maintain carrier relationships by participating in carrier meetings and related activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrates clear knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and standard industry offerings
  • Superior negotiation skills
  • Excellent inter-personal and relationship building abilities
  • 1-3 years’ experience in similar position (preferred)
