About the role

  • Employee Benefits Producer at Brown & Brown driving new sales and renewals. Responsible for proactive client engagement and support activities primarily outside an office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients.
  • Prospect sectors or market areas by identifying business needs and proposing company products and services.
  • Obtain prospects and actively pursue and create interest by making telephone calls, writing letters or through personal visits.
  • Maintain currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities.
  • Properly record mileage and retain receipts for expenses incurred in servicing and meeting with clients.
  • Expense reports are to be filed monthly.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by your Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Valid Life & Health Insurance License
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management or related field
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy declaration page, summary plan descriptions, certification of coverage, instruction manuals, workflow reports, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
