About the role

  • Project Manager coordinating and overseeing construction projects for Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Managing project teams, budgets, and communication with stakeholders in hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing and overseeing construction projects from initiation through completion
  • Coordinating and leading the project team as well as subcontractors and suppliers
  • Creating and managing project schedules, budgets and resources
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and legal/regulatory requirements on site
  • Communicating with all project stakeholders and internal departments, including clients, architects and authorities
  • Supporting projects through land-use/site development planning, including coordination during zoning plan and permitting procedures
  • Preparing for and conducting meetings with political decision-makers and administrative offices (e.g., urban planning, building authority), including presenting project details
  • Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the planning and construction process
  • Preparing regular progress reports and presenting results

Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering, architecture or a comparable discipline; alternatively, qualification as a technical drafter/draftsman or equivalent technical/trade training
  • Experience in site management or construction project management and familiarity with HOAI and VOB
  • Solid knowledge of construction processes, materials and technologies
  • Experience with land-use/site development planning procedures and municipal coordination processes is desirable
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Proficient with project management software, MS Office, image editing tools and CAD (AutoCAD or MicroStation); experience with BIM
  • High degree of self-organization and time-management skills
