About the role
- Veterinarian leading and managing associate veterinarians to ensure quality care in Banfield hospitals. Delivering medical leadership and overseeing veterinary operations in assigned locations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and manage associate veterinarians in hospitals.
- Drive the culture and delivery of quality care by veterinary provider team.
- Partner with the Practice Manager to ensure consistent pet care.
- Oversee coaching program for newly hired veterinarians.
- Validate clinical skillset and alignment with quality standards of hospital teams.
- Recruit veterinary talent in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Manage medical equipment inventory and requests in assigned hospitals.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree required.
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with all applicable state veterinary boards for assigned hospitals.
- 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
