About the role
- Lead Engineer for Product Development in Subsea Production Systems. Develop innovative engineering solutions and manage project timelines and budgets at Baker Hughes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Subsea XT technologies to fit customer needs
- Generate new designs, detailed drawings, stack up drawings, bill of materials, calculations, engineering part information
- Lead qualification and system integration testing to meet customer requirements and industry standards
- Ensure scopes are completed within the agreed timeline and budget
- Manage plan, budget, risks, resources, and stakeholder/change management
- Provide technical guidance and peer reviews for engineering deliverables
- Coach and mentor other engineers and designers within a globally diverse team
- Create new patents and technology while conducting Freedom to Operate analysis and following market trends
Requirements
- Proven experience in Design Engineering for Subsea Production Systems
- In-depth understanding of how engineering transforms into a real-life product
- Experience with 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software
- Deep understanding of GD&T and Design for Manufacture principles
- Direct ownership and accountability with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conflict management
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Deep knowledge of CAD tools CREO(PRO-E) and TeamCenter / PLM Engineering packages
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering preferably Mechanical / Industrial / Petroleum
- A willingness and desire to continue personal development
- Chartered Engineer desirable
