About the role
- Production Planner ensuring effective material planning for submarine projects at Babcock. Collaborating with stakeholders and monitoring project schedules for timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with procurement teams, supply chain partners and Ministry of Defence representatives to ensure material deliveries meet project schedules.
- Monitor and track engineering and material requirements to identify potential delays.
- Reporting to the Senior Production Planner, to support delivery, enablement and monitoring of all GFE, plant hire, overheads, technical queries, submarine toxicity and parts creation, requirements for submarine projects.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success.
- Participate in regular review and stand up meetings to support accurate reporting and your own ongoing development.
Requirements
- Ability to engage effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach with a desire to learn and succeed in a busy team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with SAP, PEPS, Coupa or submarine systems is preferred, however training will be provided.
- Confident in creating and developing reports using Microsoft Excel.
- ONC or NVQ Level 3 in engineering or a relevant functional discipline.
- Relevant experience in a similar role may also be considered.
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
