Production Planner ensuring effective material planning for submarine projects at Babcock. Collaborating with stakeholders and monitoring project schedules for timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
Liaise with procurement teams, supply chain partners and Ministry of Defence representatives to ensure material deliveries meet project schedules.
Monitor and track engineering and material requirements to identify potential delays.
Reporting to the Senior Production Planner, to support delivery, enablement and monitoring of all GFE, plant hire, overheads, technical queries, submarine toxicity and parts creation, requirements for submarine projects.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success.
Participate in regular review and stand up meetings to support accurate reporting and your own ongoing development.
Requirements
Ability to engage effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive approach with a desire to learn and succeed in a busy team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with SAP, PEPS, Coupa or submarine systems is preferred, however training will be provided.
Confident in creating and developing reports using Microsoft Excel.
ONC or NVQ Level 3 in engineering or a relevant functional discipline.
Relevant experience in a similar role may also be considered.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
