About the role

  • Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist at Babcock delivering strategic sourcing and supplier management in Bristol. Overseeing procurement processes and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of strategic sourcing and supplier management activity within the Through Life Equipment Support (TLES) business
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories such as Vehicle Leasing, Hire, and Transport Services
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and Babcock governance
  • Act as the UK MOD’s procurement agent, managing complex sourcing and contract activities
  • Negotiate supplier terms and conditions to manage risk and deliver value
  • Drive operational improvements and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an end-to-end procurement role, including leading tenders and supplier negotiations
  • Strong commercial understanding of supplier contracts and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage conflict and challenging situations.
  • Security Clearance: must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
