About the role
- Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist at Babcock delivering strategic sourcing and supplier management in Bristol. Overseeing procurement processes and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of strategic sourcing and supplier management activity within the Through Life Equipment Support (TLES) business
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories such as Vehicle Leasing, Hire, and Transport Services
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and Babcock governance
- Act as the UK MOD’s procurement agent, managing complex sourcing and contract activities
- Negotiate supplier terms and conditions to manage risk and deliver value
- Drive operational improvements and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an end-to-end procurement role, including leading tenders and supplier negotiations
- Strong commercial understanding of supplier contracts and risk management
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage conflict and challenging situations.
- Security Clearance: must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
