About the role

  • Associate Director managing global supply chain operations to enhance financial profitability and optimize inventory at BD, a leading medical technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the development and execution of production plans to support global sales in excess of $600mm
  • Manage FG inventory assets in excess of $75mm, while meeting defined service level objectives
  • Drive Sales Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process
  • Responsible for ensuring personal & company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and company regulations, policies, & procedures for Health, Safety, & Environmental compliance
  • Accountable for oversight of manufacturing, inventory management, and distribution operations to ensure customer service goals are attained with minimal product expiry and obsolescence
  • Track and report performance metrics on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Lead Global Forecast Accuracy, Global Backorder, Global Line Fill and Global Inventory performance for the global platform
  • Lead and manage a world-class team of Supply Chain Analysts by recruiting, training, mentoring, and rewarding for high levels of company contribution
  • Design and implement cost effective and differentiated supply chain solutions to help the Global platforms to strengthen the core and capitalize distinct opportunities for expansion into adjacencies
  • Prepare Executive Level presentations as required.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations required; Masters or MBA strongly preferred
  • APICS certification or equivalent preferred
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years Supply Chain and/or Operations
  • A minimum of 5 years people management is required
  • Must have strong analytical, project management, problem solving, and consulting skills, with the ability to influence, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional, team environment
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, change management, stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Previous demand planning, forecasting, and sales planning experience required
  • Previous experience with ERP/APS systems required
  • Distribution, inventory, and lifecycle management preferred
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
