Responsibilities
- Lead financial operations across our Marine contracts in both Australia and New Zealand.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders, operational teams, and Commonwealth customers influencing decision-making.
- Deliver high-quality financial insights and strengthen analytics while ensuring alignment with Babcock’s broader objectives.
- Balance immediate operational needs with long-term planning, identify risks and opportunities, and champion continuous improvement.
- Build high-performing teams and maintain strong financial governance while contributing to enterprise-wide transformation.
Requirements
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand and capable of obtaining a New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Security Clearance.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification in CA/CPA
- Extensive experience in financial business partnering, including leadership of teams and strategic financial planning across complex environments.
- Commercial, Contract or Subcontract experience in Defence or other high-risk industries and understanding of contracting methods including EAC, Fixed Price, Cost plus.
