About the role
- Sustainability Coordinator responsible for overseeing sustainability efforts and environmental audits at Axians. Collaborating on environmental standards and guiding sustainable practices in an international setting.
Responsibilities
- Support and accompany business units to establish local action plans and roadmaps
- Prepare and validate our environmental report and participate in internal and external environmental audits
- Create and analyze quarterly KPIs for management
- Provide advice on optimizing the vehicle fleet
- Review and integrate various environmental-technical issues across the group on topics such as climate protection, circular economy, and biodiversity
- Organize and deliver environmental training
- Participate in environmental activities (webinars, awards, environmental days)
- Handle customer requirements and environmental standards (e.g., Scope 3, LCA)
- Draft environmental articles, support the communications department, and assist with video shoots and interviews
Requirements
- Degree in environmental sciences, sustainability management, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in environmental management, ideally in an international environment
- Knowledge of environmental standards and tools (CSRD, Scope 3, LCA)
- Strong communication skills, organizational talent, and initiative
- Passion for sustainability and innovation
- Very good written and spoken German and English
