Responsibilities
- Work on development, maintenance, and analysis of systems in an enterprise mainframe environment.
- Develop and maintain programs using COBOL, ensuring quality and adherence to established standards.
- Create, analyze, and adjust JCL routines for batch processing.
- Work with sorting and data-manipulation routines using SORT and SYNCSORT.
- Operate in transactional environments with CICS, ensuring performance and stability.
- Manipulate and query data in DB2 databases, ensuring integrity and performance.
- Analyze and maintain sequential files, supporting critical business processes.
- Provide technical contributions to the team, supporting analysis, improvements, and incident resolution.
Requirements
- Solid experience as an IT Analyst in an enterprise mainframe environment
- Proven experience with COBOL
- Experience with JCL
- Proficiency with SORT and SYNCSORT
- Experience with CICS
- Knowledge of DB2
- Experience working with sequential files
