About the role
- Application Solutions Architect designing modern cloud, hybrid, and on-prem applications with Microsoft Azure. Leading technical solutions with a focus on microservices and security concepts.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of modern application architectures in cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises environments based on Microsoft Azure.
- Responsible for the technical solution design, e.g. microservices structures, API design, integration patterns, security fundamentals, and scalable data models.
- Hands‑on technical collaboration with development and DevOps teams (not full‑time coding), including evaluation of technical options and architectural decisions.
- Model data structures (relational, NoSQL, distributed data models) and select appropriate storage and integration approaches.
- Work with DevOps to design build and release pipelines, container strategies, and Infrastructure-as-Code (fundamental understanding; not responsible for cluster operations).
- Produce architecture and solution concepts, proposals, and technical presentations for our clients.
- Work using modern Agile and DevOps methods and adhere to technical best practices (Clean Architecture, testability, observability).
- Actively contribute to internal architecture and cloud communities and help evolve our technical standards.
- Continuously develop your expertise — we support certifications and further professional development.
Requirements
- Degree in an IT‑related field or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of experience in software development or technical implementation (e.g., .NET, C#, Node.js or similar technologies)
- Good knowledge of architecting or implementing modern applications (cloud‑native, hybrid, or on‑premises)
- Solid understanding of modern architectural principles (microservices, API design, messaging, event‑driven patterns, Clean Architecture)
- Experience in data modeling (relational databases or NoSQL; fundamental concepts of distributed data models)
- Solid DevOps experience, e.g., CI/CD, GitHub or Azure DevOps, deployment automation, and a basic understanding of container solutions (Docker, AKS) — without infrastructure administration responsibilities
- Ability to make technical decisions, communicate concepts clearly, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
- At least one of the following Microsoft certifications: AZ‑204 (Azure Developer Associate), AZ‑305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or AZ‑400 (DevOps Engineer Expert) — one is sufficient (additional certifications can be obtained with our support)
