About the role

  • Associate Product Line Manager managing product line strategy for outdoor apparel categories. Supporting development and execution alongside design and marketing teams for innovative product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development execution of the product line strategy for your assigned product categories and classes
  • Contributing to the creation of product briefs that align with the category strategy, seasonal story-telling focus, and brand vision, fostering collaboration with the design and development teams
  • Contributing to the cross-functional product creation process from concept through to guest, through sharing expert knowledge of product, the athlete and guest needs
  • Supporting to achieve and maintain key product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), design and production costs relative to the market and guest value proposition
  • Contributing to the management of the product lifecycle management for each model, from development to commercialization, to eventual redesign, replacement or retirement
  • Contributing to seasonal selling plans and supporting overall strategies (grow, diminish, hold, exist, launch) (sell thru vs sell-in)
  • Supporting in research and analysis of the global marketplace to identify key consumer and market insights to inform concept work and development of new products and the range
  • Supporting in the preparation of product presentations for key calendar touchpoints that inspire and deliver the critical information to our internal stakeholders, ensuring successful development of seasonal assets and plans
  • Contributing to GTM product knowledge and supporting on the creation of selling tools and product information for our Commercial and Brand teams
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in outdoor retail or customer service, merchandising, product development, wholesale, and/or retail buying roles
  • strong knowledge of sell through, calculating cost of goods, and the open to buy process
  • strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • effectively manage your time, and possess strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
  • strong leadership and teamwork skills, solution-oriented, and able to facilitate work across many different internal departments
  • strong understanding of the active apparel market within the outdoor industry, and the key outdoor activities made products for
  • excellent understanding of the design and development process
  • excellent in the use of Adobe and Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • willing and able to travel as required (trade shows, key dealer presentations, core consumer events, etc.)
  • proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
