Responsibilities
Direct and manage project delivery including defining project scope, specifying deliverables, estimating and controlling project duration, effort and cost
Manage industrial, commercial and institutional building projects from start of design to completion of construction
Ensure all deliverables are delivered on time and within budget
Drive an attitude within project teams to deliver solutions, resolving issues and risks as they arise
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, attend construction meetings
Oversee and ensure contract administration deliverables are completed in accordance with client requirements
Review contractor activities in accordance with the contract documents and requirements
Provide oversight and confirmation of completed contract quantities
Supervise and perform quality assurance acceptance and inspection of construction works
Liaise with the contractor and client representatives
Chair and lead project meetings
Negotiate price agreements, change orders, claims and work directives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
Minimum 10+ years full time experience in Project Management with projects related to industrial, commercial and institutional buildings
Ability to read and interpret contracts and contract documents
Automotive industry experience is an asset
Registered or eligible to be registered with Professional Engineers considered an asset
PMP Project Management Professional certification completed or in progress is desired
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Must be familiar with current software - Bluebeam, AutoCAD
Proficient in Excel and Word (Office Suite)
A vehicle and valid Driver’s License to travel to the site around the Calgary Metropolitan Region
