About the role

  • Area Manager and Business Growth Leader developing goals for Arcadis’ water business in North and South Carolina. Responsible for strategic business growth and team leadership in project execution.

Responsibilities

  • responsible for leading strategy implementation to drive organic growth across our integrated water business
  • report directly to the Southeast Resilience Water Area Leader
  • lead our established, well-respected team to execute our already healthy project backlog
  • drive our strategy for continued growth across the Southeast
  • oversee and participate in people management activities including hiring, onboarding, staff development, performance management and terminations
  • actively engage with and lead coastal North Carolina and South Carolina client account teams to expand business development opportunities and client relationships strategically
  • collaborate with other Arcadis business units to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and foster business growth
  • provide leadership for the operational performance of coastal North Carolina and South Carolina-based Water staff

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in water / wastewater / stormwater project management, design management, business operations, or related
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • P.E. License
  • Strong client relationship skills with a successful track record of delivering engineering projects that meet or exceed client expectations
  • Strong project management experience on municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater projects of various sizes
  • Strong people management and mentoring skills
  • Excellent technical engineering skills with clear and concise written and oral communication skills
