About the role

  • Release Lead at ANZ managing project planning and oversight for key initiatives and implementation projects. Leading teamwork and ensuring alignment with ANZ Technology strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels
  • Assigns and monitor work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget
  • Creates an environment of openness, trust and collaboration
  • Ensures that the various elements of the project are properly co-ordinated. Includes project plan development, project plan execution and integrated change control.
  • Ensure all reporting is accurate and transparent
  • Identifies, clarifies and communicates project vision, goals and objectives and how these tie into, support or impedes organizational strategic objectives
  • Track and report on release metrics, project milestones, and delivery KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery speed, reliability, and transparency
  • Able to track investments and benefits delivered to customers

Requirements

  • 12+ years’ Project & Release management experience.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery, from inception through to delivery of small to medium to sized initiatives and/or key pieces of work within programmes or projects
  • Work collaboratively with key business owners and stakeholders to deliver the best outcome for the customer
  • Work collaboratively with 3rd party vendors to deliver the best outcome for the customer
  • Provide financial budget oversight across project deliverables
  • Agile experience at scale, innovative problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience in Handling high complex migration and lifecycle management.
  • Experience in Integrating complex application & products.
  • Proven experience in Release Management, Project Management, or a combination of both within a technology environment.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on risk management and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of change management processes and ITIL best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across global teams.
  • Familiarity with software delivery frameworks and controls to deliver technology solutions.
  • Technical tool kit: Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2 or PMI-ACP Agile Delivery: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or AgilePM IT Service Management: ITIL Foundation or higher. Cloud Platforms: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud Certified (Associate). DevOps / Release Management: CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitOps
