About the role

  • Supply Chain Sustainability Expert at Anthesis driving sustainable practices in global supply chains. Collaborating with clients to develop effective supplier engagement and transparency strategies.

Responsibilities

  • As a Principal or Senior Consultant in our Value Chain Transformation Portfolio, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing due diligence policies and strategies.
  • Conducting value chain mapping and supply chain risk assessments.
  • Designing human rights and environmental risk mitigation programs.
  • Supporting clients in leading regulatory readiness and gap assessments.
  • Developing strategic approaches to supplier engagement as a cornerstone of supply chain decarbonization.
  • Develop and execute Scope 3 reduction strategies, focusing on primary data collection and supplier capacity building.
  • You will manage the delivery of client engagements. You will be responsible for these projects being on time, on budget, and on schedule. You will be managing several projects at any one time, each with their own dedicated project teams.
  • Working with a senior client manager on each project, you will share responsibility for managing client expectations as well as helping them optimize value through projects to drive continuous, strategic improvement. You will work to develop a trusted advisor relationship with all clients and focus relentlessly on helping them be successful in defining and achieving their sustainability goals.
  • Provide guidance and technical oversight to junior and senior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Contributing to and developing proposals for potential clients and projects and represent Anthesis during interviews as the consultancy best positioned to support. You will also be expanding scopes of engagement and support with existing clients, helping them drive their sustainability agenda and identifying opportunities to integrate across service offerings to provide holistic sustainability solutions.
  • You will need to be proficient and effective at communicating the client’s sustainability purpose, commitments, and performance in a way that is credible and meets the clients’ needs, while balancing the technical requirements of reporting and the creative aspects of sustainability storytelling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a sustainability practitioner, with expertise in human rights and environmental due diligence within a company’s direct operations and value chain and supplier engagement or related experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as a sustainability practitioner, with expertise in human rights and environmental due diligence within a company’s direct operations and value chain and supplier engagement or related experience.
  • Experience with corporate supply chains, sourcing/procurement, and/or supplier engagement/capacity-building.
  • Expertise in assessing and mitigating key sustainability risks with respect to suppliers, including human rights, climate, and nature in supplier base.
  • Experience developing responsible, equitable and inclusive procurement practices and/or responsible sourcing.
  • Experience leading corporate-wide assessments that consider human rights, environmental, and climate impacts across a company's value chain.
  • Strong understanding of Climate/Net Zero-related concepts.
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail in large datasets, savvy with data visualizations, and advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience developing dynamic dashboards using platforms such as PowerBI or Tableau is valued.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Fluency in the local language is required – German/French/Spanish as a bonus is a plus.
