- Project Engineer bridging engineering and project management for hydropower projects. Ensuring effective communication and technical documentation for client interactions and project execution.
Responsibilities
- Ensures effective communication between the engineering, installation and project control teams;
- Organizes and facilitates internal technical activities and design review meetings;
- Ensures stakeholders correctly interpret technical specifications and expectations;
- Defines the technical strategy and delivery plan in cooperation with the responsible project manager and the procurement department;
- Coordinates all technical documentation;
- Participates in the selection, negotiation and technical discussions with key suppliers and subcontractors;
- Responsible for ensuring that engineering deliverables and procurement deliveries are completed on time and meet the established quality criteria for all systems related to their projects;
- In collaboration with the project director, analyzes, defines and implements a contingency plan to correct any anomalies or deviations that could impact their projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Registered professional engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Experience in hydropower, energy production equipment or related manufacturing sectors
- Demonstrated experience and leadership in technical coordination of engineering and subcontracting activities
- Proven verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
