About the role

  • Communications & Marketing Intern role for American Board of Emergency Medicine. Providing support in crafting messaging and managing digital content across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and craft messaging for the website, news releases, digital content, and collateral.
  • Draft social media posts and engagement strategies.
  • Develop videos using outlines and transcripts provided.
  • Review and contribute to communication and marketing campaigns.
  • Work on new and ongoing projects as needed and other related duties as assigned.
  • Learn project management skills.
  • Help develop and disseminate communication and marketing strategies to build awareness and engagement for the organization.
  • Assist with and review presentations and graphics for internal and external audiences.
  • Provide user experience reviews for the organization’s web-based platforms on multiple device types.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior college-level degree status in communication, digital media, public relations, marketing, or related field of study.
  • Strong creative and strategic thinking skills.
  • Team player.
  • Interest in healthcare and public health preferred.
  • Interest in corporate communications preferred.
  • Adaptable and flexible to frequently shift direction and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with professional contacts internally and externally.
  • Interest or experience in digital content platforms and content marketing.
  • Desire to learn through curiosity and inquisitiveness.
