About the role
- Registered Architect leading design teams in infrastructure projects for Amentum in Oak Ridge, TN. Responsible for compliance with design standards and project objectives within budget and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Work with or possibly lead groups of architects and designers to complete technical portions of projects within established budgets and schedules.
- Manage technical aspects of projects ensuring compliance with design standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycle.
- Support the development of infrastructure that improves communities across the United States.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited Architectural program
- Licensed Architect in Tennessee with current registration or licensed in another state with ability to obtain TN licensure
- Experience designing commercial or industrial facilities
- Demonstrate experience of delivering a range of projects from concept through detailed design completion.
- Experience with International Building Code (IBC)
- Producing specifications and reviewing work of other staff for technical accuracy and provide guidance
- Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
- Ability to Follow established Amentum quality procedures and ensures that all work accomplished under their control is accomplished under established quality procedures
- Experience working within a quality system based on ISO 9000 or NQA-1
- Competent using discipline specific software such as: Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation, etc…
- Competent using Microsoft 365 software.
