Responsibilities
Drive the definition and development of MPU & MCU system architecture, ensuring alignment with market trends and industry standards.
Work with product marketing to understand customer requirements and use cases and translate them into detailed specifications for Industrial IOT, Secure Connected EDGE Computing, and Automotive products.
Define scalable and efficient computing architectures, including multi-core processing and memory hierarchy.
Own key performance indicators for programs and drive optimization.
Design and integrate security mechanisms, including secure boot, cryptographic accelerators, and trusted execution environments.
Collaborate with software, hardware, and firmware teams to ensure seamless system-level integration of MCU components.
Develop strategies to optimize performance, energy efficiency, and thermal management while maintaining reliability and scalability.
Contribute to industry standards and drive innovation in MPU and MCU architectures.
Define architectural guidelines, best practices, and documentation to guide product development teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 10 years or more relevant experience.
Experience with use-case analysis and decomposition.
Proven experience in microprocessor and microcontroller architecture, Software, SoC Architecture, and system-level integration.
Strong understanding of microprocessor and microcontroller architectures, including CPU cores, DSP, memory management, and peripheral integration.
Experience with system performance optimization, low-power design, and real-time processing.
Familiarity with Linux, Zephyr, Free RTOS, or any similar operating systems.
Familiarity with high-speed interconnects (e.g., AXI), memory architectures, and bus protocols.
Strong collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams, including silicon, software, firmware, and board design engineers.
