About the role
- Senior Buyer leading strategic sourcing for procurement of key materials with $90M spend. Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to enhance performance and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing and category management for key materials including solvents, waxes, starch, hazardous waste, and energy curing inks.
- Manage an annual spend of approximately $90M across North America.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that ensure uninterrupted supply, optimal cost, and high-quality performance.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive Total Cost of Ownership improvements.
- Deliver sustainable business value and support procurement excellence through reporting, data analysis, and collaboration across Amcor’s global network.
Requirements
- Highly proficient in data analysis and manipulation using Microsoft Excel.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in procurement / strategic sourcing of relevant categories
- Relevant experience in a company with a mature procurement function
- Experience in market and benchmark analysis at a broad level
- Innovation process experience considered advantageous
- Excellent negotiation skills, problem solving ability and strategic thinking ability.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Demonstrated category expertise and sourcing/procurement experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
