About the role

  • Transportation Manager improving customer service and logistics performance at Amcor. Leading logistics operations while ensuring legal compliance and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen customer service by improving logistics performance
  • Manage logistics operations, both internal and external
  • Management of Business escalations in a structured way giving visibility on issues and actions to the different stakeholders
  • Drive the correct discussions during the different service meetings, make sure they are action oriented, efficient and with a fast resolution of the actions defined
  • Support BU SC Managers with escalations, new requirements, changing of network, solving the actions under their scope of responsibility
  • Support 4PL whenever they require central logistics to drive AFEMEA topics (strike, fire, issue at a site,…) and report/link to Amcor
  • In collaboration with procurement, participate to the transport tenders representing Supply Chain within the defined timeline & processes
  • Be the link to the sites and drive the post go live support set-up
  • Represent Supply Chain (site and BU) within the monthly performance reviews and QBR’s with strategic carriers and 4PL’s
  • Drive standardisation and simplification through new/changing processes
  • Identify best practices and roll out across BUs/Plants
  • Prepare high quality, concise, and accurate Logistics reporting (service & costs)
  • Monitor and analyse our transport performance (service, delivery times and transport costs) and collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement/execute improvement plans
  • Monitor progress of ongoing improvement projects, tracking benefits realisation
  • Present findings, ideas and improvement plans to SC Management team
  • Motivate, support and lead the logistics teams at the sites whilst implementing/executing the AFEMEA processes
  • Identify, develop, and manage the Logistics SMEs in the AFEMEA network
  • Collaborate with various teams in cross-functional supply improvement projects

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Logistics, Science, or similar disciplines represented in SC
  • 10 years overall operational experience in Supply Chain, including 5 years in Logistics related appointments
  • Strong change management, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent level of English
  • Proven competency with information tools
