About the role
- Senior Bid Manager responsible for leading complex bids in the energy sector. Based in Wellingborough, with hybrid working between home, office, and site visits.
Responsibilities
- Delivering winning bids for the energy sector in England and Wales
- Lead on complex or JV bids with clear communication lines
- Ensure agreement in place for Joint Venture bids
- Establish bid resource needs prior to commencing
- Drive and energise the bid team to achieve successful outcomes for tenders
- Manage tender programme and internal meetings
- Agree bid budget and monitor expenditure
- Communicate/share bid strategy with the bid team
- Oversee production of stage‑gate documentation
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the UK Construction market
- Good communication skills
- Degree, HND in Civil Engineering or NVQ equivalent level (desirable)
- Successful experience in Civil Engineering to Project/ Contract Manager level (desirable)
- Bid Management training/ qualification (Shipley/ APMP or equivalent) (desirable)
- Professionally qualified to Chartered Engineer or equivalent level (desirable)
