About the role
- Technical Content Author creating vehicle service manuals and diagnostics for automotive industry. Collaborating with engineering teams and ensuring accurate content delivery for clients.
Responsibilities
- Work proactively with OEM engineering (R&D) department to collect the technical inputs to start the content authoring
- Writing/maintaining the technical instructions (Diagnostics/Repair methods/Labor time/User Guides) and illustrations
- Proof reading the technical publications
- Keep close communication with the client to review the developed content to make sure the content is accurate and delivered as scheduled
- Drive the process of content development from authoring, engineering review, editing updates to release
- Support the pre-sale activities and proposals
Requirements
- College degree or above
- Automotive Service/Maintenance is preferred
- 3+ years’ experience within the automotive aftersales service industry (or Workshop Service technician)
- Service manual/Diagnostics/User Manual/Parts catalog development experience is preferred
- Familiar with some of the XML editors/illustration tools/CMS and Authoring software
- Expert in developing structured and reusable content using XML/DITA/S1000D is preferred
- High-level English language skills (CET-4 and above) and 1 year+ working experience using English as the working language
- Proactive communication both within the project team internally and with the client externally
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Process and quality oriented in the daily work
