About the role

Responsibilities

  • Leading financial statement audits under German GAAP (HGB) and sector-specific legal requirements
  • Managing the audit team and providing support on complex issues
  • Point of contact for accounting matters and conducting special audits
  • Monitoring and reviewing audit findings and ensuring proper documentation
  • Close coordination with the responsible statutory auditors

Requirements

  • University degree in Economics, Law, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
  • Several years of professional experience in financial audit and solid knowledge of national accounting standards (HGB)
  • Initial exposure to international standards (e.g., IFRS) is an advantage
  • Experience with data analysis and IT-supported audit procedures, plus a basic understanding of digital transformation in auditing
  • Proficient in MS Office and common ERP systems
  • Excellent written and spoken German
  • Structured, solution-oriented working style, commitment, initiative and openness to innovative solutions
