About the role

  • Digital Transformation Engineer leading cross-functional digital initiatives and automation projects. Enhancing efficiency and innovation in food and health solutions at Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Plan, manage, and execute software and hardware projects across AHN facilities using Agile methodologies.
  • Automation & Systemization: Design and implement automated workflows and systemized data solutions to reduce manual effort and improve data integrity.
  • Strategic Execution: Translate AHN’s DX strategy into actionable initiatives that support the 2030 Roadmap and ASV indicators.
  • Cross-Site Collaboration: Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing across AHN sites to accelerate DX adoption.
  • Development of Internal Tools: Lead and support projects related to the development of tools (applications, integrations, and dashboards) to support internal teams.
  • Data Science & Analytics: Lead initiatives involving artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistics-driven insights for manufacturing and business data.
  • Vendor & Resource Management: Participate in vendor selection, bid reviews, and recruitment of DX talent.
  • Documentation & Standards: Develop documentation strategies and best practices for new and existing digital systems.
  • Global Collaboration: Engage with AJICO and international affiliates on industrial automation and DX initiatives.
  • Technology Monitoring & Recommendations: Stay informed of emerging technologies, industry advancements, and digital transformation trends. Assess their relevance to AHN’s operations and formulate actionable recommendations to ensure AHN remains competitive and technologically current, aligning each proposal with evolving business needs and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) and Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps).
  • Strong understanding of system design, data architecture, artificial intelligence, and database management preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, including understanding best practices for software documentation (flowcharts, UMLs, wireframes, SOPS).
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and digital innovation.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified or willing to obtain certification.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience working in multinational or matrixed organizations.
