Department Manager for Facility Infrastructure at AIXTRON responsible for maintaining and managing building operations. Leading teams and ensuring optimal conditions for facilities in Herzogenrath.
Responsibilities
You lead the Facility Infrastructure department and ensure that our buildings and properties at the Herzogenrath site are kept in optimal condition.
You manage the Facility Infrastructure team both technically and disciplinarily and coordinate collaboration with external service providers.
Together with your team you prepare clear service specifications and tender documents — ensuring top quality for our soft services (e.g., cleaning, waste disposal, grounds maintenance).
You plan and organize maintenance and repair activities for our building infrastructure.
You are responsible for physical security and key management of our properties and actively support fire protection measures.
You take on space and office planning to provide functional, modern working environments.
During audits you are the competent contact for your area of responsibility and continuously drive process improvements.
Budget planning, commercial administration and meeting target objectives are part of your responsibilities.
Requirements
You have a completed technical or business degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Real Estate Management or a related field.
Alternatively, you hold a completed vocational qualification with relevant further training.
You have several years of experience in facility management, building management or a comparable role — ideally with proven responsibility for infrastructure and team leadership.
You are confident in handling building services systems as well as organizing maintenance and repair measures.
Ideally, you have knowledge of fire protection and security technology.
You are experienced in managing projects, setting clear priorities and reliably achieving targets.
You communicate confidently, in a structured and persuasive manner — both internally and with external partners.
Personally, you demonstrate a hands-on mentality, results orientation and a strong affinity for process improvements.
You have very good German language skills and good to very good English skills for working in an international environment.
